Clarence Middleton don't get a non smoking room if you smoke. some hotel won't care, some will be pressed to charge you an extra fee "more money in their pocket". this is real important if the hotel doesn't have a balcony.

Clarence Middleton matter of fact don't use credit cards, too many place try to charge you extra or twice and know you will be too drunk to remember. ATM FEES go up also "6 Dollar at some places", get cash in hand, and spend it and don't use your card
Clarence Middleton don't bring a broke camera or a dead battery. make sure it works and charges, and take time to sit it back on the charger in the morning.
